SALT WATER is a unique American shoe brand. It was established in the 1940s, at the height of World War II. Walter Hoy, the brand's founder, made sandals for his little daughter from scraps of leather left over from making military boots. And so was born the cult brand of leather sandals with a 70-year history.

Four generations of the family are still working at a small factory in St. Louis, Missouri to create the best sandals. The main production moved to China.
